5 O'Clock Everywhere: The Cosmopolitian

We are gonna do something a little different on Wednesdays. Let's have HAPPY HOUR!!!! Chose a drink and let's find some grandtastic fashions to add to your closet to spice up Hump Day.

Cosmopolitan (Cosmo)
This is a very classy drink and if made with the right cranberry juice, can tickle the palette and give you the guts to flirt with the guy you've been eyeing all night from across the room. Likely to be created in the 1970's. One variation originates from Provincetown, Massachusetts.
Now for the past couple of years Sex and the City and that dag on Samantha (I love her) have made this drink a new standard and women have been flocking to get this drink. However, ladies, it's not what's in the drink, it's what you wear while sipping the drink.

The Attire:
Because I think that the Cosmo is a very womanly, classic drink the pencil skirt is called to order.  Every woman can pull this off. Curves, booty, no booty, little bit of pudge in the front; high-waisted, belted, scarved.....you can all do this. And with a nice cross of the legs (make sure they are shaved) you will have them looking and asking "What's she drinking?"
Now because I picture you going to get a Cosmo after a long day of work, with the girls to get a way from your men or a nice night just away from it all the blouse must be on point. You cannot stray from this because if you do the setting of the Cosmo will be unjust. Ruffles have made an absolute comeback. And Prince made it a beautiful situation. Ruffles are girly but sensual. Can be pulled off anyway by any size. I love them because I feel sexy in them.  I am oftentimes seen with them on in a halter top style (avid fan of my own cleavage, lol).

My Nana would tell me that red shoes are for street-walkers.  She would trip out if she saw my closet now!!! I couldn't decide on which pair to choice from but I think these set the ultimate tone for classy, sexy woman. To find these visit PinUpGirl Clothing.

Now....who's picking up the Tab?

VINTAGE MONDAY: SALUTE TO MY VETS!!!

Memorial Day was originally called the Day of Decoration: A day of rememberance of those who died in our nation's service. Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on May 5, 1868 by General John Logan, National Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his order and was first observed May 30, 1868 when flowers were placed on graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at the Arlington Cemetery.   The first state to offically recognize this was New York in 1873. By 1890, it waas recognized by all the Northern States.  The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on seperate days until after World War I.

WAIT!!!
Now that I've given you some amazing facts about this glorious day, I want you to understand that we were still fashionable. Everybody loved a man in uniform. There is a reason why men love to see women in those nurses uniforms.  WE WERE HAUTE!!!!

Kool Kolor Kollectioin by KIM K

The one thing I love about the Kardashians is that even with all the turmoil and DRAMA around them they still have the marketing ability to appeal to every market regardless. They still find a way to come out on top. And isn't that what life is anyway? Taking the bad and countering it with FAB Positivity?

TV shows, modeling, acting, KANYE and now Nicole by O.P.I,  has partnered with our kurvy girl for another great line: Kardashian Kolor: SPRING. And this time it's all Kim's fav's. She is an avid lover of feminine pastels, girly pinks and blue hues and glitter. The colors I have seen are amazing.

The can be purchased at Walmart, Target, ULTA and CVS. They are running about $5 to $7 a bottle. Go chose your fav's...Mine are below. I think these colors would even look good with a shatter or crackle kolor on top of them.

MET DRESSES AND MESSES

LAWD!! That is all I have to say is why? I know that lace, feathers, sheers, mirrors and bold colors are in. That doesn't mean that you can put them all together. That doesn't mean that you can wear any color that you want and it won't fade you out. When will we start examining ourselves FIRST before we pay to have ourselves made a fool of? Not everything is okay for EVERYONE.

However ever, there were some very beautiful dresses designed by the lovely Rachel Roy and the ever fabulous Vera Wang. The MET Ball is a classy event held every year where designers can show off thier best threads on fabulous people. But what happened.

Here are 4 of my picks of my favorites. There were absolutely radiant and divine in every way imagineable. Beautiful, classy...PERFECT FOR THE MET BALL!!!

Fabulous at 40: Sofia Vergara

Sheer Elegance: Camilia Belle

Vivid: Solange Knowles

Stunning: Emma Stone

Now there were something's (loosely used, lol) that were a little too much for me. Were a bit racy and a tad over and under dressed. I really don't know what happened other than someone got a little bit accessive with the feathers, lace and everything else. I think even if they would've pulled their makeup and hair together better then that wouldn't have looked so much of a hideous mess.
Carey Mulligan

Christina Ricci

Elizabeth Banks
I can't post anymore. My computer will start vomiting and I will have to send it back to HP. I just can't take it. And last but not least the Mother of Vogue showed up with a nice fur and......
